The purpose of this Privacy Policy is to explain how Jgive handles information collected through the website https://www.jgive.com (the “Website”) or through other services provided by Jgive (collectively, the “Services”), and how Jgive collects, uses, discloses, and protects information received from users.

Information We Collect

“Personal Information” or “Information” means information that can be associated with an individual or entity, such as name, phone number, ID number, or email address.

Some of our Services require registration. As part of registering to use certain Services, you will be required to provide information including your name and email address, and to create a username and password. You are under no legal obligation to provide this information, and doing so depends on your consent and free will. However, if you do not agree to provide the information, in whole or in part, you may be unable to use some of our Services.

If you connect via Facebook, we will receive the personal information provided to us by Facebook. Please review Facebook’s policy to understand what information is transferred.

We may request additional information if needed to provide you with Services. The information we collect may include gender, age, address, donation amounts, and credit card details. We may also retain other information regarding your use of the Services, such as advertisements viewed, pages visited, or offers that interested you.

We may document communications with you to help resolve issues. Certain information may be collected automatically about your computer, browser, operating system, IP address, and/or mobile device.

In addition, we collect and process information relating to nonprofit organizations that join our internal system, including contact details, authorized signatories, and reports on the use of donations, as well as information transferred to service providers such as PayMe, Digital Invoice services, Google Analytics, and affiliated organizations abroad. Certain information is automatically transferred to the Israeli Tax Authority in accordance with applicable law.

Purposes of Collecting Personal Information

Jgive uses personal information to enable and improve its activities and to fulfill contractual, ethical, and legal obligations, including:

  • Performing obligations arising from contracts between Jgive and the user;
  • Managing the user’s account, including identification and authentication for access and security;
  • Verifying and processing financial transactions;
  • Updating users regarding changes in activities;
  • Providing technical assistance and other information;
  • Responding to inquiries, resolving issues, preventing fraud or criminal activity, and requesting feedback;
  • Providing information about Jgive’s activities;
  • Monitoring website usage to improve operations;
  • Compliance and audit purposes, including reporting obligations, preventing crime, and enforcing rights.
How We Protect Information

We implement industry-standard measures to protect information during transmission and after receipt. However, no method of transmission or electronic storage is completely secure. While we strive to use acceptable means to protect your information, we cannot guarantee absolute security.

We will delete personal information upon receiving a written request from the user. Deleted information cannot be restored.

How We Use Information

When making a donation on the Website, you may choose to publish your name and/or donation amount publicly. If you consent, you acknowledge that third parties (including research institutes) may access and process this public information.

If you choose not to publish this information, we will not share it without your explicit consent, except as otherwise stated herein or if required by law or court order.

We use your information to provide Services and process donations. ID numbers are used to generate consolidated tax receipts for the Tax Authority based on unique identification and are transferred, along with your name, to the recipient nonprofit for accounting purposes.

We may use information internally to diagnose server problems or improve our Services.

We support academic research and may transfer your information and/or non-personal aggregated information (e.g., donation amounts or dates) to research institutes and universities for research, publication, analysis, and statistical purposes. If you chose not to publish your name and donation amount, this does not constitute refusal to share anonymized, non-personal data. Third parties will be required to protect such information.

Information Transfers

We may transfer your information to:

  • Affiliated companies, service providers, and subcontractors processing data on our behalf (under privacy obligations);
  • Nonprofits or charities for donation processing and receipt issuance (we are not responsible for their privacy practices);
  • Fund initiators or campaign organizers;
  • Third parties, including advertisers, for advertisement purposes; 
  • Referring websites (with a unique identifier that does not contain personal information);
  • External providers such as PayMe and Digital Invoice services (acting as data processors under data processing agreements).
Statistical Information and Data Usage

We may aggregate and analyze the data we collect to create anonymous "Statistical Information" for research and trend analysis. This data helps us understand user needs to better refine existing products and develop new services.

Key Provisions:

  • Anonymity: Statistical Information is strictly anonymous and is never linked to personal data.
  • Sharing: We may share this data with partners and advertisers under commercial terms at our sole discretion.
  • Analytics Tools: We use third-party tools, such as Google Analytics, to analyze data for research and system improvement. Any data processed by Google Analytics is subject to Google’s Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.

We will cooperate with law enforcement or court orders requiring disclosure. We may use subcontractors located outside your country of residence, including outside Israel. These subcontractors are bound by confidentiality obligations, although privacy protections may differ by jurisdiction.

We may transfer databases (including personal information) if we sell our business or part thereof, including transfers outside Israel.

We may transfer personal information outside Israel, including to the U.S., Canada, and the U.K., for payment processing, receipt issuance, anti-fraud checks, and legal compliance, in accordance with Israeli privacy law and contractual safeguards.

You may review and update your registration information. You are entitled to request access, correction, deletion, or restriction of processing in accordance with the Israeli Privacy Protection Law by contacting info@jgive.com.

We retain personal information while your account is active and as necessary to provide Services, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements.

Security and Data Retention

We invest significant resources in safeguarding personal information. However, we cannot guarantee prevention of unauthorized access, leaks, or breaches.

In the event of data loss, theft, or unauthorized access, we will notify authorities and affected individuals as required by law.

Personal information will be retained while your account is active and for additional periods as required by law. Anonymous statistical data may be retained indefinitely.

Communications
